The Ella Roberta Family Foundation were set up so we could use our experience to help other families in a similar situation.  We work with clinicians, volunteers, schools and the public to advocate for further research into severe asthma.

We will be running a series of workshops at King’s College Hospital for parents of children with severe asthma and difficult to treat asthma and breathing difficulties.

Helping with Research.

The John Price National Symposium on Respiratory Problems 2016

We will be sponsoring the new Ella Roberta Fellowship Award, dedicated to her memory and given to the recipent who has presented the most promising research into difficult child-hood asthma. The recipient will receive £1,250 and the runner up will receive £750 towards their research. John Price Respiratory Award March 2016

We will also be donating research equipment and smart inhalers to King’s College Hospital Respiratory Department.

Swimathon_2015_4Fundraising.

  • Fundraising to support the children’s wards at Lewisham Hospital.

The foundation currently has three official fundraising events a year.

The annual Swimathon.  Ella was a very strong swimmer, at the time of her passing she was a Level 7. Local children take part in the Swimathon at The Bridge pool and last year we raised £1800 from the Swimathon.

The Annual Summer Street Party. We had out first Street Party this year as part of the Hither Green Festival- over 500 people came along!

TheAnnual Christmas Concert. Local people come together to remember Ella, to perform and to entertain.
